Have you noticed more electric vehicles cruising the streets of Carrollton lately? It’s becoming a common sight, and for good reason. EVs offer increased efficiency and environmental benefits, as we mention in our research hub.
Now, we’re excited to introduce an all-new addition to our lineup – the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV. This award-winning SUV was named the 2024 MotorTrend SUV of the Year, and we have it in stock now at Marshall Chevrolet.
The Blazer EV comes in three distinct trim levels – LT, RS, and SS – each with unique features. In this article, we’ll explore the performance, specs, interior details, and differences between the trims. We’ll also discuss charging capabilities, advanced driver assistance tech, and more. By the end, you’ll be ready to take a test drive and experience the future of electric driving firsthand.
When you’re thinking about buying an electric car, you probably want to know how well it works. How far can it go? How fast is it? Here are the answers you are looking for. The Blazer EV delivers impressively on all fronts.
The most powerful SS variant accelerates 0-60 mph in under 4 seconds thanks to its 557 horsepower and 648 lb-ft of instant torque. Yet you can also opt for more relaxed acceleration – a handy setting to help optimize battery efficiency. Speaking of efficiency, the Blazer EV offers exceptional range. Depending on the configuration, it’s rated for 279-324 miles per charge. Recharging at home is simple with the available Level 2 charger. Based on your preferences, the intuitive charging app lets you schedule charging times to take advantage of lower electricity rates. Public DC fast charging stations provide another convenient charging option when you’re on the go. Clever features like cabin preconditioning also help maximize driving range. By preheating or cooling the vehicle while it’s plugged in, it draws from the power source rather than tapping into the battery. Anything to improve that performance. 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV Specs |
The Blazer EV rides on GM’s advanced Ultium Platform. The new body architecture supports multiple range configurations along with three available drive systems: all-wheel drive, performance all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive.
The heart of the Blazer EV is its Ultium propulsion battery. This battery works with up to three motors to give you the perfect mix of power and efficiency. More specifically, it gives you 12V/60AH and 680 ENCCA. As for dimensions, the Blazer EV has a wheelbase of 121.8 inches. That means it’s stable on the road and has lots of room inside. It also has a minimum ground clearance of 7.89 inches. When Chevy brought back the Blazer in 2019, some people were disappointed that it couldn’t handle off-road adventures. With this new ground clearance, the Blazer EV is ready for some light off-roading! Inside, there’s ample room for five passengers to stretch out, with 40.88/38.10 inches of front/rear headroom and 44.20/38.92 inches of front/rear legroom. Cargo capacity measures a substantial 59.10 cubic feet behind the rear seats. |
The futuristic Blazer EV interior exudes performance and technology. Available race car-inspired details like a flat-bottom steering wheel are a nice touch. You can pick between two interior colors: all black for a sleek look, or Adrenaline Red if you’re feeling bold. Either way, it looks amazing!
Visually, the cabin makes a statement with an enormous 17.7-inch diagonal touchscreen display. Angled towards the driver, it creates an aviation-inspired aesthetic. An 11-inch driver information screen behind the steering wheel serves up essential driving data. On the tech front, the Blazer EV delivers standard wireless device charging, Google built-in services, and a WiFi hotspot. Google’s voice assistant allows intuitive control of navigation, entertainment, and vehicle settings. Five USB ports ensure all passengers stay fully charged as well. With excellent dimensions for both passenger space and cargo capacity, the Blazer EV interior balances people and gear-hauling needs. For even more confidence on the road, available Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance makes highway driving easier than ever. All the while, six standard active safety features work together to provide an extra layer of security. |
Choosing the right color for your new car goes beyond aesthetics. It’s a chance to make a statement and express your personal style on the road. The 2024 Blazer EV is offered in an appealing palette of contemporary hues.
The Metallic group of colors make a sleek, modern impression with eye-catching sheen. One standout metallic choice is Galaxy Gray, which has unique purple undertones setting it apart. For a splash of vibrancy, the vibrant Riptide Blue or Radiant Red metallics are available at extra cost. Sterling Gray metallic provides a more understated, classic vibe. Beyond metallics, Iridescent Pearl Tricoat white and Red Hot are iconic Chevy colors that now grace the Blazer EV. And no palette would be complete without classic black and Summit White options. The range-topping SS trim opens up additional customization opportunities. It allows you to select one of the colors above while adding black contrast on the roof and lower body for a stylish two-tone effect. With so many attractive color choices, you can match your new Blazer EV to your personal taste. The hardest part is choosing just one! |
Streamlined to just three trims, the 2024 Blazer EV makes choosing your perfect EV simpler. However, within that simplified range exist meaningful differences between the LT, RS, and SS models. This means you can pick the one that fits you best.
Since Chevy has removed the 1LT model as the base version, we now start with the LT. Let’s take a closer look at each version.

For the first time this year, the LT now serves as the value leader with an EPA-estimated 279 miles of AWD range per charge — not bad! Remote start capability via smartphone app lets you precondition the cabin from afar. Once you’re inside, you’ll find those big screens we talked about earlier with Google Built-in and Bluetooth, along with a 12-volt power outlet.
You’ll sit on comfortable Evotex seats. They’re not leather, but they look great and are easy to clean. The LT comes with a 6-speaker audio system. IntelliBeam auto high beams make night driving easier. Heated front seats, heated steering wheel, and keyless access increase comfort and convenience. The exterior styling makes a statement with 19-inch machined aluminum wheels, acoustic windshield, and dark tinted rear glass. |
With an EPA-estimated 324 miles of rear-wheel drive range, the long-distance RS trim promises increased efficiency. Larger 21-inch aluminum with a machined face and black painted pockets wheels, and a black-painted grille and lower fascia are notable exterior upgrades. Another addition is the front LED light bar that wraps around the grill. It lights up and even has an animated Chevy bowtie. You also get Gloss black roof rails, heated power auto-dimming mirrors with turn signals, and a hands-free liftgate.
Inside, the RS steps things up with perforated suede and Evotex seats. The driver’s seat is 8-way power-adjustable and has 2-way lumbar support. This trim level also adds Rainsense wipers, heated rear seats, and wireless charging. |
The SS is the top dog of the new Blazer EV lineup. It’s built for performance, and it shows. As the performance flagship, the SS flaunts its 557-hp potency via exclusive styling cues like aggressive 22-inch wheels. Activating Wide Open Watts mode unlocks its full performance potential for blistering acceleration.
Advanced driver assistance tech comes standard in the form of Super Cruise hands-free driving capability for added on-road confidence. We expect the SS trim to launch in Q3 2024. Stay tuned for more details as they emerge on this cutting-edge performance EV. |
